Community Guidelines

Lit is for meeting real people with good energy. These guidelines explain what helps everyone feel welcome, respected, and safe.

Last updated: June 14, 2026

Be kind

Respect people, boundaries, backgrounds, and opinions.

Keep it real

Use authentic info and never pretend to be someone else.

Stay appropriate

Keep profiles, chats, and media suitable for a general audience.

Act safely

No threats, harassment, violence, illegal activity, or pressure.

Be kind

Treat every person like there is a real human on the other side, because there is. Disagree without attacking, teasing, targeting, or humiliating someone.

  • No bullying, harassment, hate speech, slurs, or discrimination.
  • No insults, intimidation, stalking, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Respect boundaries when someone says no, stops replying, or blocks you.

Keep it real

Lit works best when people are honest about who they are. Do not create fake accounts, impersonate others, mislead people, or use someone else's photos without permission.

  • Use truthful profile details and photos that represent you.
  • Do not pretend to be a public figure, brand, friend, or stranger.
  • Do not use Lit for scams, spam, phishing, or deceptive promotions.

Keep it friendly

Profiles, messages, and media should feel comfortable for a broad audience. Avoid content that is explicit, exploitative, illegal, or designed to shock or pressure another person.

  • No nudity, sexual content, sexual solicitation, or explicit media.
  • No illegal activities, regulated goods, or instructions for harm.
  • No graphic, degrading, or unwanted content in profiles or chats.

No violence or threats

Never threaten, encourage, celebrate, or organize harm toward yourself or anyone else. Content involving credible threats, self-harm encouragement, or violent behavior may result in immediate action.

  • No threats, extortion, blackmail, coercion, or intimidation.
  • No praise, planning, or encouragement of violence or self-harm.
  • No attempts to pressure people into unsafe offline meetups.

Protect yourself

Be thoughtful about what you share. Keep sensitive details private, especially with people you have just met, and keep conversations inside Lit until you feel confident.

  • Do not share passwords, payment details, private documents, or access codes.
  • Be careful with your exact location, workplace, school, or home address.
  • Never post or share another person's private information.

Report and block

You are in control of your experience. If someone makes you uncomfortable, use block or report. Reports help us review behavior and take action when needed.

  • Block people you do not want to hear from.
  • Report harassment, impersonation, unsafe behavior, or prohibited content.
  • For support or safety concerns, contact us at contact@litapp.app.

How we apply the rules

We review context, severity, and repeated behavior. Breaking these guidelines may lead to content removal, warnings, feature limits, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
